MOVICOL is macrogol 3350 + electrolytes. Macrogol is a PEG -high molecular weight polymer which is non-toxic, pharmacologically inert, and virtually unabsorbed. The macrogol attracts and holds water in the bowel for effective stool softening. The electrolytes in MOVICOL help mitigate the possibility of electrolyte imbalance and dehydration.

MOVICOL is lactose free, gluten free, sucrose free
For use in adults and children over 12 years of age for effective relief from constipation and treatment of chronic constipation; treatment of medically diagnosed faecal impaction.
Ingredients
Quantities per 25 mL undiluted liquid Macrogol 3350 13.125 g Sodium bicarbonate 178.5 mg Sodium chloride 350.7 mg Potassium chloride 46.6 mg Each dose contains 187 mg of sodium and 26 mg of potassium. Each dose contains 45.6 mg of benzyl alcohol. Also contains hydroxybenzoates and sucralose and potassium acesulfame
Directions
Prepare one dose by diluting 25 mL of oral liquid with 100mL of water, then drink it.
MOVICOL Liquid Orange Flavour is for use in adults and children aged 12 years and over.
Warning
Do not take MOVICOL Liquid Orange Flavour if your doctor has told you that you have:
- an obstruction in your intestine (gut)
- a perforated gut wall
- severe inflammatory bowel disease, like ulcerative colitis, Crohn‘s disease, or toxic megacolon
- paralysis of the bowel
- an allergy to macrogol or any of the ingredients. MOVICOL Liquid Orange Flavour is for use in adults and children aged 12 years and over.
The Movicol Junior range is available for children between 2 and 11 years of age.
